Having Fun

Mommy was inspired to do a Valentine's project that included me and paint.  I'll be sure to post my art work as soon as Valentine's Day is over.  I don't want to ruin the surprise for the recipients.  For now, I wanted to share some pictures of me having fun this past week.  Enjoy (and please overlook Mommy's mess)!

 Mommy was working from home and looked up to find me on my walker.  I'm so proud of myself for climbing onto my walker.  It is my new favorite thing to do.  I also like to climb on everything else.

 Remember how I said Mommy had an idea that involved me and paint?  Yes, the painting got out of hand.  But boy did I have fun!  I hope Mommy lets me do it again.  Who knew painting could be so fun and messy!

Look how pretty my water was after painting.  Mommy had to bathe me twice because my water was so bad.  Good thing I love baths!  And yes, that is my turtle thermometer I am playing with. My absolute favorite bath "toy".

What's new with me

I'm crawling, cruising, standing for brief periods on my own, saying mama, baba and dada, eating everything I can, using a sippy cup (which I'm getting pretty good at), and got my two bottom teeth over the weekend.  I sure surprised Mommy and Daddy with those two!

I'm Turning Into Such a Big Boy!

I am turning into such a big boy! Mommy has been working with me on sitting. I was getting the hang of it pretty good so while Daddy and Papa worked on the house Mommy and I played in the leaves. I sat like a pro! We had so much fun (even though Mommy wouldn't let me eat the leaves).

What I've Been Up To

Have my fans been wondering what I've been up to lately?  I've started drinking from a sippy cup, had my first sucker (then some), went from my baby bath seat to a big boy seat (because I'd scoot to the edge of my baby seat), visited the Smoky Mountains (first train ride, carousel ride), had my first Halloween (complete with face painting!), went to a "Tacky Party" at the church, and ate some good food. I love chewing on my thumb. It feels great to my gums.

My Jumperoo is so fun! This was my first time in it.  I am still a little short for it (even on the shortest setting) so the parents have to fold up throws and put under my feet.

I have started chewing on everything...even my rubber duckies.

Papaw came to visit.

We went to the Ag Museum in Jackson for our last getaway before Mommy went back to work.  We got rained out.  :-(

Daddy, Alena, Maddie, (my cousins) and I sat in this huge chair.

Alena, Maddie and Kaitlin (another cousin) got to play cool games like this dodge ball game at the MS Sports Museum while all I got to do is watch. 

After a fun day we all went to the movies to see Transformers 2.  I slept most of the movie.

But before the movie we went to Bass Pro Shop. My first trip there.

Even earlier in the day we went to Cock of the Walk to eat.  We got to feed the ducks bread! This is me with Daddy and Katilin.

Mommy bought me these silly sun hats.  They grow with me so you'll be seeing more of them next year.

Mommy and I made Daddy a card for his first Father's day.

Daddy posed me like this a couple months ago but I really do like the remote now!

Early one my cousin Anna tried to trade me for her cat.  Glad Mommy didn't take that deal.

One day after work Grandma and Grandpa stopped by for a visit.

I went with Mommy and Daddy to take Nanny to the eye doctor in Memphis.  This is what Daddy and I did for a while.

5 months old

I'm 5 months old today!  I'm rolling around like crazy, talking up a storm, and loving food!!!

And I'm cute as a button.
