What's been going on with me

Momma went to the doctor for a check-up on my progress Tuesday.  All is going well according to Dr. Whittle.  He is very pleased with her sugar readings and 4 lb weight loss since she started cutting back on sweets (which are my favorite thing!) and started watching what she eats.  We listened to my heart.  They do that at every visit.  My heart beat is still strong and has changing rhythms like he wants to hear.  I've been doing ALOT of moving.  I've always been a mover but it is hard for me to sit still now and I'm getting so big and strong that my kicks are almost painful to Momma sometimes.  I sure am going to miss kicking her when I get here!  The doctor commented on me moving around so much when he was listening to my heartbeat.  I don't like to sit still for him.  Momma is measuring 31 cms, which is good for 28 1/2 weeks, and weighs 155.6 lbs.  I wonder how much I will weigh.

I also figured out this head down position thing and decided to try it out for a change.  I sure did like laying sideways, but my room was just getting to small to lay that way much longer.  Momma and Dr. Whittle hope that I stay in my head down position for the next several weeks.  Hard to believe I will be meeting everyone in 78 days.  That's right!  Just 11 more weeks before I introduce myself to the world.  I hope Momma and Daddy are ready!!!

Mommy has created a Baby Registry for me at Amazon.  Since showers in my honor will be right around the corner I thought she should share it with you.  You can find my registry at Amazon (click link) by searching by either of my parents' names.  If you'd rather buy from the store, there is also a registry at Walmart.  I can't wait to meet everyone and hope you will get to see a sneak peak of me at those showers!

Micah's Introduction

Hello world!  I can't wait to meet everyone.  Today marks an important day in my arrival.  If I am on time I'll get to meet all my family and friends in 99 days!  It's been a quick journey for me since I was conceived around August 14, 2010.  I have been growing up a storm and already causing Momma and Daddy to worry.  Guess I have to keep them on their toes.  But all is well with me as I prepare to enter the world!

September 2 Momma finally realized the symptoms she had been having might be from me.  She thought it was a long shot but knew something was up.  The next day I made her and Dad the happiest people in the world when I caused a test to say yes. 

See, that "Yes+" is because of me!

I've been growing up a storm, as you can see in the pictures below!  Momma went to the doctor Monday and I weighed in at 1 lb. 14 oz.  I'm in the 56th percentile for my gestational age (GA).  Right now I'm still working on growing taller so one day I can be taller than Daddy, but I'm also putting on some fat to keep me warm once I arrive.  I wonder how big I'll be.

25 weeks and I'm making Momma huge! (She loves every minute of it though)

Mom and Dad have been getting ready for my arrival.  Don't tell them but I will be one spoiled little boy!  After ten years of them trying for me I bet I will have them wrapped around my little finger in no time.  Check out my new room!  About the only thing missing is me!  Daddy and Momma have really been busy!

A Blog for Micah

Since The Dean Chronicles is dedicated to blogging about anything and everything I might think about I decided to create a blog dedicated especially to Micah.  Some of the blogs in the future may reflect the same content as is blogged about in The Dean Chronicles, but this blog will not contain anything not related to Micah.  This blog will follow the journey we have of "Growing up Micah."  I hope you enjoy seeing our little man grow as much as we do.  I haven't decided if I will blog as if it were Micah talking or not.  Right now I'm thinking that might be kind of fun since this blog will be dedicated to him.  Growing up Micah can go either way.  It could be us discussing raising him or him growing up as Micah.  It may be a combination of the two.  Either way, stay tuned for updates!
